Hi Anette,

What kind of camera are you using? And have you upgraded FCE to the latest version?

Hi,

I am having trouble when trying to import clips shot in 1080p (progressive) .
The viewer in Log &Transfer is all green and I can't see the clip before importing it.
Also it is converted ti Interlaced in FCE.

Does FCE not handle progresive clips?

the Easy set up is AVCHD Apple intermediae codec 1920/1080i50 (I can chose between this and AVCHD 1440/1080 or HDV Apple intermediate codec)

Hi Sean,

Great job and very very interesting and helpful. Thanks again from Barcelona (Spain).

We are at the end of 2009, have you written an update of where we are today (FCE /iMovie, FCP)?

Best wishes
Victor

Here is my current problem: I have shot video in HD. I have exported some still images from the footage. However, the image is squished. (just like Sean's image examples at the top of this page) How do I export a still image, but not have it be squished?

I have a Sony HDR-SR12. Before I bought FCE4, I had to shoot in SD. The only way I could get it into my iMAC, was to connect it thru my other DV camcorder and import it thru Log and Transfer (as if I had recorded the video on dv tape).

Just so anyone knows who is wondering, as of the FCE update 4.0.1, it now can edit 1920x1080 TRUE widescreen in several preset sequences now available with this update.
